No longer an outside observer

I do hope that (1) this particular weekend, I manage to avoid wayward trucks, and appendicitis, and that (2) my experience with COBRA doesn’t presage Obamacare.

On a positive note, this morning I awoke at 5:15 to run my third 10+ miler of the week.  (Yes, of course I was barefoot – why do people keep asking me that?!  I haven’t taken up smoking either.)  Even in the dark, I avoided restubbing my toe – the Force must be with me.  Now my ankles are a little stiff, but my blood pressure and cholesterol should be down.  Low blood pressure will help me keep my cool during the delicate healthcare negotiations.  Or at least will help me survive them.
